WEST ENGLEWOOD— A man was shot in West Englewood Thursday, police said.

At 7:27 p.m., an 18-year-old man was standing outside in the 5900 block of South Hermitage Avenue when a man walked up and opened fire, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

The man was shot in his leg and taken to Stroger Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, Pacheco said.

No one is in custody.
