CHICAGO — Police said a man tried to lure a 12-year-old boy into his car Thursday afternoon in Albany Park.

Around 4 p.m., the boy was approached by a man while standing near the intersection of Argyle Street and Kenneth Avenue, police said.

During the conversation, the man offered the boy candy and attempted to get him inside his tan four-door car. The boy refused and ran away, police said.

The man was about 65-70 years old with pasty white wrinkly skin, a white mustache and red discoloration on his neck, police said. He was wearing a black skull cap and a brown jacket. The man also spoke in broken English, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call detectives at 312-744-8261.
