LINCOLN SQUARE — Chef Cleetus Friedman is taking over the taps at Fountainhead, and that's one coup beer lovers are likely to support.

For the past three years, Friedman, former owner of City Provisions, has been teaming up with breweries across the Midwest and beyond to produce one-of-a-kind beers. On Thursday, Fountainhead's taps will be flowing exclusively with the results of those collaborations.

Friedman's partners in hops and barley include North Center's Begyle, Bucktown's Pipeworks, Portage Park's Lake Effect, Kentucky's Against the Grain, Michigan's Greenbush and Illinois' Two Brothers.

Individual pints will cost $6-$11, and flights will be available, as well as menu pairing suggestions. There's no cover charge for the event, which gets underway at 7 p.m., 1970 W. Montrose Ave.
