PORTAGE PARK — Ald. Tim Cullerton (38th) will host a health fair Wednesday at the Portage Park Senior Center.

Co-sponsored by the Chicago Department of Health, the fair will offer free flu shots from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at 4100 N. Long Ave.

Flu season typically starts in the fall and peaks in January or February, and the influenza vaccine is the best protection against getting sick, city health officials said.
