'Batman vs. Superman' Filming Excites Chicagoans (Minus Parking Bans)

UPTOWN— Ladies, take note: Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck will likely be showing face in Uptown this week, while shooting scenes for the forthcoming "Batman vs. Superman" blockbuster.

Meanwhile, the filming has turned Downtown into a temporary Metropolis, the home of Clark Kent.

Although the production company Crown City Pictures Inc. will only be filming Wednesday and Thursday, parking restrictions and street closures will begin on Tuesday and end on Friday.

NO PARKING restrictions will take effect in the following areas:
 
4 p.m. Tuesday through midnight Friday:
Both sides of Clifton Avenue from Broadway to Lawrence Avenue
Both sides of Lawrence from Broadway to Sheridan Road
Both sides of Winthrop Avenue from Lawrence to 4720 N. Winthrop Ave.
Both sides of Winthrop from Lawrence to 4840 N. Winthrop Ave.
East side of Broadway from Lawrence to 4833 N. Broadway
West side of Broadway from Racine Avenue to Leland Avenue
 
8 a.m. Wednesday through noon Friday
West side of Kenmore Avenue from Lawrence south to 4728 N. Kenmore Ave.
 
FULL STREET CLOSURES:
 
9 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday
Eastbound Lawrence from Clifton to Winthrop
 
7 p.m. Wednesday through 6 a.m. Thursday

Lawrence from Broadway to Sheridan (Local access will be allowed onto Winthrop and Kenmore)
 
7 p.m. Thursday through 6 a.m. Friday
Lawrence from Broadway to Sheridan (Local access will be allowed onto Winthrop and Kenmore)
