Second Man Charged in Englewood Murder, Police Say

CHICAGO — A second man has been charged in the shooting death of an 18-year-old man in 2011, according to police.

Marlon Boyce, 27, of the 5900 block of South Emerald Avenue, was charged with first-degree murder, according to a police statement.

Boyce is the second man to be charged for the murder. Antoine Reynolds, 28, of the 5600 block of South Shields Avenue, was arrested in early October.

The shooting occurred on July 6, 2011, around 6:20 p.m., according to the statement. 

Boyce and Reynolds fired shots at an 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy in the 6100 block of South Normal Avenue in Englewood. 

The man was initially taken to Stroger Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead, according to police.

The boy was transported to University of Chicago Hospital in good condition.

Boyce is due in central bond court Friday.
