HYDE PARK — Author Dan Pashman will be at 57th Street Books on Saturday to talk about his breakthroughs in peanut butter and jelly sandwich construction.

Pashman, the host of the Sporkful food podcast, has collected his research into topics like optimal spaghetti eating technique into a new book, “Eat More Better.”

The book is densely illustrated and rich with Pashman's tested tips, like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich will go down smoother not with a glass of milk, but if the filling is layered jelly, peanut butter and jelly again.

He will talk at 3 p.m. at the bookstore at 1301 E. 57th St. about his experiments in preventing soggy pancakes with a bacon substructure.
