LINCOLN SQUARE — Got a great idea but no clue how to get it off the ground?

Incubate it.

The Idea Incubator workshop, a collaboration between the Chicago Public Library and Goodcity Chicago, is designed to nurture entrepreneurs, particularly those whose ventures offer a community-based benefit.

The workshop, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Sulzer Library, will feature breakout sessions on how to start a nonprofit, how to develop a for-profit business designed to have a community impact, and how to create a hybrid nonprofit/for-profit model. The event concludes with a one-on-one executive coaching session.

Presenters include Brian Jenkins, president of StartingUp Now, which helps entrepreneurs develop their business plan; Jimmy Lee, president of Goodcity Chicago; and Rene Alvarado, director of Goodcity Chicago.

The workshop is free, but registration is required. Click here to sign up.
