HYDE PARK — The Army Corps of Engineers will give an update on its plans for Jackson Park at the Nov. 10 meeting of the advisory council.

The Army Corps is planning a $8.1 million restoration of the park, including building new islands and planting more than 1.3 million new plants over 140 acres of the park.

The advisory council will also elect officers and recruit committee members at the 7 p.m. meeting at the Jackson Park Field House, 6401 S. Stony Island Ave.
