CHICAGO — A man has been charged with two robberies, one on the Near West Side and another in The Loop.

Tydeon Woodland, 21, of the 7100 block of South Harvard Avenue, was charged with two counts of armed robbery.

The robberies occurred in the 500 block of West Lake Street on Oct. 17 around 12:30 a.m. and the 100 block of South Clark Street on Oct. 23 around 4:15 a.m., according to a police alert.

In both robberies, Woodland was armed with a knife and demanded money from the convenience store clerks before fleeing, police said.

On Oct. 28, CTA security recognized Woodland from a CTA lookout bulletin and held him. Later, Woodland was identified through lineups, according to a police alert.

Woodland was arrested in the 500 block of South Pulaski Road.

He is due in bond court Thursday.
