CHICAGO — A Northwest Side man has been charged with sexually abusing a woman on a CTA train car.

Juan Juarez, 47, of the 4800 block of West Barry Avenue, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and two felony counts of aggravated battery.

Around 8:05 a.m. May 1, Juarez got on an "L" train and stood next to a 64-year-old woman, according to a police alert.

After the doors closed, Juarez moved close enough to the woman that his groin was touching her back. The woman discovered that the man was aroused, and then he moved to another train car.

Officers identified the man as Juarez, and arrested him 7:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of West Belmont Avenue.

His arrest came the same week that a man was charged with exposing himself and performing inappropriate sexual acts in front of women on "L" trains.

Juarez is due in central bond court Friday.
