Thorp Fall Fest to Bring Out Ghouls, Goblins

PORTAGE PARK — Ghouls and goblins are sure to come dressed to the nines for the annual Fall Fest to benefit O.A. Thorp Scholastic Academy.

Admission is free to the festival scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at Thorp, 6024 W. Warwick Ave.

Children can display their Halloween finery during a costume parade, while pumpkins and mums will be available to purchase to benefit Friends of Thorp, a parent group. Gourds will be available for three for $2, pie pumpkins will be $3, 15- to 20-pound pumpkins are $10 and a gallon pot of mums is $10.

The festival will also feature crafts, games, rides and food available for purchase.

Volunteers are needed on the day of the fest, and registration is available online.
