CHICAGO — A man was killed and three others were wounded at a party in West Garfield Park early Saturday.

Around 1:10 a.m., two men, ages 22 and 18, and two women, both 20, were at a party in the 4400 block of West Madison Street when one of them got into an argument with another guest who opened fire, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago police spokesman.

The 22-year-old man suffered from a gunshot wound in his face, and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, Alfaro said. He was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Eddie Taylor of the 1900 block of South Homan Avenue.

The 20-year-old woman was taken to Stroger Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds in her body, Alfaro said. She is in critical condition.

Both the other 20-year-old woman and the 18-year-old man are in "stable" condition. The woman was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound in her buttocks, Alfaro said, while the 18-year-old was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with a gunshot wound in his lower back.

No other information was immediately available.

No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
