CHICAGO — A Hyde Park woman is charged with murder after allegedly stabbing a man to death Thursday morning, police said Friday.
Police said Shawanda Swain, 21, killed Damani Chenier, 23, during in a "domestic-related incident" about 3:10 a.m. Thursday in the 5100 block of South Hyde Park Boulevard.
Chenier was found stabbed in the chest. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, where he died.
Swain, of the 5100 block of South Hyde Park Boulevard, is charged with first-degree murder.
