HYDE PARK — The Jackson Park Advisory Council will be joined by a mystery author who writes about the park and Chicago at its Monday meeting.

Frances McNamara, author of “Death at the Fair” about the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893 and other mysteries, will give an illustrated lecture at 7 p.m. at La Rabida Hospital, 6501 S. Promontory Drive.

Prior to the opening of the meeting, the advisory council will hold a brief toast on the hill outside the hospital to honor the anniversary of the fair.

The meeting is set to include updates about various activities at the park, including the ongoing free tours of world’s fair sites and upcoming workdays.
