CHICAGO — A woman was shot in Rogers Park Thursday evening.
The woman was in a vehicle in the 1600 block of West Juneway Terrace when she was shot about 6:10 p.m., police said. Someone on foot fired shots at the vehicle, police said.
The woman, 20, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where her condition had stabilized, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a police spokesman.
Last month, Glenford S. Johnson, 19, was gunned down in the same block. Ald. Joe Moore (49th) told constituents Johnson was suspected of being a high-level leader of a street gang vying for territory in Rogers Park.
