CHICAGO — A man was found dead inside a home in West Englewood late Saturday.
After conducting an investigation, police determined the man committed suicide, police said Sunday evening.
Around 11:20 p.m., police responded to a call of a person shot in the 1700 block of West 59th Street, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive 30-year-old man inside a home with a gunshot wound in his head, Pacheco said.
Authorities said the man had a history of mental illness and had previously threatened to harm himself.
