CHICAGO — At least four people were injured in shootings on the South and West sides Thursday evening.

Around 11 p.m. Thursday, a 26-year-old man was shot in Brighton Park, police said.

The man was walking eastbound in the 3100 block of West 38th Street when people inside a red Jeep opened fire, striking him in his back, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago police spokeswoman.

He is in serious condition after being taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Pacheco added.

Police said the man has gang ties.

No one is in custody.

Earlier, around 8:15 p.m., two men were shot in Longwood Manor on the Far South Side.

The victims, ages 18 and 20, were sitting on a porch in the 9500 block of South Harvard Avenue when four men wearing all black opened fire, striking the 18-year-old in his nose and the 20-year-old in his back, Pacheco said.

Both were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where they were in stable condition, Pacheco said.

The men are both gang-affiliated, according to police.

Around 20 minutes earlier, a 51-year-old man was shot and seriously injured in East Garfield Park.

The man was in an argument with two people in the 3100 block of West Ohio Street when he was shot in his face, according Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was in serious condition, Pacheco said.

Police said the incident may have been drug-related.

No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
