CHICAGO — Two men spraying bullets in Englewood killed a 27-year-old man late Friday and wounded two others.

The gunman came out of a gangway in the 5700 block of South Aberdeen at 10:15 p.m. Friday and began firing.

Three men standing nearby, ages 27, 25 and 63, were hit.

The 27-year-old man was shot in the head and was pronounced dead on the scene at 10:41 p.m. The 25-year-old was hit in the stomach and survived. The 63-year-old man was shot in the hand and was also hospitalized, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 25-year-old man is in stable condition after being taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, Sedevic said, while the 63-year-old man is in good condition at St. Bernard Hospital.

Police said the man who was killed was a documented gang member. He was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Malachi Baldwin, of the 5600 block of South Elizabeth Avenue. An autopsy determined he died of multiple gunshot wounds.

No one is in custody for this shooting, and no other information was immediately available.
