BRONZEVILLE — The Forum will host a block party Wednesday night with the music that was born in the neighborhood over the last 100 years.

The Forum is a former music and assembly hall at 324 E. 43rd St. currently being restored as a venue and café.

From 6-8 p.m. the building will start to come back to life with dance lessons from Big City Blues and historic tours from Chicago Patterns.

DJ Ayana Contreras will play music from famous Bronzeville musicians, singers and composers and Katie’s Kitchen and Monica’s Menu will provide Prohibition era drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

A preview of “Juke Joint,” a short film shot in the hall, will also be screened.
