WEST TOWN — A man was robbed at gunpoint in a West Town parking garage last week, police confirmed.

About 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, two men armed with a handgun walked up to a 44-year-old man's car inside of a parking garage and ordered him out of his car, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The robbers then took items from the man and his car before fleeing, Sweeney said.

Police are investigating the incident and do not have any suspects in custody, he said.

Earlier last week, police warned residents about three recent armed robberies on the Near West Side and in West Town that all involved two offenders.

Police are asking anyone with information about the robberies to call detectives at 312-747-8382.
