CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was fatally shot in East Garfield Park Saturday evening.

Around 6:50 p.m., the man was driving westbound in the 3900 block of West Ferdinand Street when someone shot him, striking him multiple times in his left torso, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman.

He continued to drive to the 3300 block of West Chicago Avenue when a passenger in his car flagged down police, Estrada said.

He was identified as Davontae Harrison of the 600 block of North Troy Avenue, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

He was then taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, and was pronounced dead at 7:37 p.m.

No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
