CHICAGO — Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old boy in Bronzeville Saturday afternoon.
The teen was in the 3900 block of South Prairie Avenue about 3 p.m. when he was shot in his head, police said.
He was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:44 p.m.
He was identified as Michael Bloodson of the 4600 block of South Drexel Avenue, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.
No one is in custody and detectives are investigating, police said.
