ENGLEWOOD — A Pilsen art gallery has organized a fundraiser that will benefit the nonprofit I Grow Chicago.

An outdoor art sale sponsored by 11 Seventeen Studio will run from 6-10 p.m. Friday at 626 W. 18th St., where nearby businesses will be selling artwork. The event, where food and music will also be available, is part of the studio's Art Walk in Pilsen summer offering.

Artists will donate a portion of their sales to I Grow Chicago, which provides free yoga classes and runs an Englewood farm among other things, said Tameka Lawson, executive director of the organization.

"We will be grateful for any amount of money raised, but if we were to raise $1,000 that would go a long way for us," she said. "Our afterschool program is getting ready to start up and we want to hire tutors from the community."

Tickets for the event are $5 and can be purchased online.
