'Followspot' to Bring Cabaret to The Bridge Theater

BRIDGEPORT — Followspot, a monthly cabaret for short original theater, dance, music and spoken word performances, returns to the neighborhood this month.

The event takes place at 8 p.m. Saturday at The Bridge, located in the First Lutheran Church of the Trinity community center at 643 W 31st St. Admission is $10 or free with a receipt from Jackalope Coffee and Tea House.

Kestutis Nakas, founder of the theater group, said patrons are "going to see a variety show in the form of a performance cabaret."

Scheduled to appear are performance artist Brita Thorne, spoken word artist and musician Corey Smith, live music from The Pirates and performances by artists and actors Nikkia Tyler, Gilbert Domally, Andrew Taylor and more.
