CHICAGO — One man was killed and two others were wounded in a West Englewood shooting Saturday evening.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 7200 block of South Damen Avenue, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

The victims, ages 18, 22 and 19, were walking on the sidewalk when the shooter got out of a black car and opened fire, striking the 18-year-old women in her leg, the 22-year-old man in his right arm and the 19-year-old man in his head, Estrada said.

Both the 18-year-old woman and the 22-year-old man were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where they are in stable condition.

The 19-year-old man was initially taken to Stroger Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to police. He was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Shaquille Holmes, of the 7800 block of South Burnham Avenue.

No further information was immediately available.

No one is in custody, and detectives are investigating.
