HYDE PARK — Pastor and author Michael Dowd will talk about how he’s reconciled science and religion to “come home to reality” during a Saturday talk at First Unitarian Church.

Dowd calls himself a religious naturalist and evolutionary theologian who believes the contemporary conflicts between science and religion around evolution versus creationism can be reconciled.

He is the author of "Thank God for Evolution: How the Marriage of Science and Religion Will Transform Your Life and Our World."

He will speak at 10 a.m. at First Unitarian Church, 5650 S. Woodlawn Ave.

Child care will be provided.
