HYDE PARK — The Washington Park Arts Incubator will host a free staged reading of the murder-mystery “East Texas Hot Links” on Thursday.

The play by Eugene Lee follows eight poor, rural black characters in pre-integrated Texas as they get embroiled in a betrayal that drags in all the patrons the Top O’ the Hill bar.

Ron O.J. Parson will direct the staged reading starting at 7:30 p.m. at the arts incubator, 301 E. Garfield Blvd.

Light refreshments will be served.
