HYDE PARK — Chef Matthias Merges’s A10 restaurant will be converted into a Japanese ramen shop for one day on Sept. 8.

Merges said Wednesday he will give a brief glimpse of the menu for his second, yet-to-be-opened Yusho Japanese restaurant location, which will open this fall at 1301 E. 53rd St.

The menu of pasta, roman pizza and other Italian-American-inspired fare will be pushed aside for the day on Sept. 8 for a menu of Japanese noodles, steamed buns, sake and special draft cocktails.

The restaurant started taking reservations Wednesday at 773-288-1010 for the one-time preview at A10, 1462 E. 53rd St.
