LINCOLN SQUARE — Lincoln Square will be swarming with cops this week.
Not to worry, folks, there hasn't necessarily been an uptick in crime. It's just "Chicago P.D." filming in the neighborhood.
Notices were posted over the weekend to warn residents of pending parking restrictions. The action, for those interested in either doing a little stargazing or avoiding the no-parking zones, will be centered around the CTA Rockwell Brown Line station and Gross Park, 2708 W. Lawrence Ave.
The filming will largely affect side streets, including Leland, Eastwood, Talman, Washtenaw, Gunnison and Fairfield, but will also block parking along the stretch of Lawrence Avenue between Rockwell and California, as well as a sliver of Western Avenue between Leland and Eastwood avenues.
Restrictions are in place between 10 p.m. Monday and 9 p.m. Tuesday.
"Chicago P.D.," featuring Jason Beghe and Sophia Bush, debuted on NBC in January 2014 as a spin-off of "Chicago Fire."
