ENGLEWOOD — A 26-year-old man was fatally shot in Englewood Monday afternoon, police said.
The man was shot in his head about 4:35 p.m. in the 5500 block of South Emerald Avenue, said Officer Veejay Zala, a police spokesman.
Darryl Allison, of the 5000 block of South Wood Street, was taken to Stroger Hospital and pronounced dead at 5:16 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
Details of the shooting were not immediately available.
