NORTH CENTER — Blue Sky Bakery is putting a twist on the farmers market concept, taking the market to the farm.

For its second annual farm brunch on July 20, Blue Sky, 3720 N. Lincoln Ave., is once again organizing a trip to Peasants' Plot Farm in Manteno, Ill., approximately 50 miles south of Chicago.

Guests will enjoy a picnic brunch featuring Blue Sky pastries and Peasants' Plot organic veggies, along with a mimosa bar, craft beers and other non-alcoholic beverages. All ages are welcome.

The event kicks off at 10:30 a.m. with a no-experience-required "gentle" yoga class led by Kerry Maiorca, owner of Bloom Yoga.

Brunch follows and the day wraps up with an hour-long in-depth tour of Peasants' Plot conducted by owners Todd and Julia McDonald. Be prepared to interact with nature and the elements.

Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online. Children under 10 are free. Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from the farm.
