ROGERS PARK — Developer Scott Gottlieb of SNL Realty plans to tear down a single-family home on Chase Avenue and replace it with a new one, Ald. Joe Moore (49th) said in a newsletter to constituents.

The home, at 1927 W. Chase Ave., was in foreclosure before Gottlieb bought it earlier this year.

The planned two-story, 2,300-square-foot replacement home will have four bedrooms, two full baths and one half-bath. A garage will also be built behind the home.

Moore said SNL Realty has other experience in the neighborhood, including renovating the home at 1844 W. Chase Ave. and building a new home at 1530 W. Estes Ave.

Moore said Gottlieb would not need any zoning changes or special permissions to build the home. Moore, however, has scheduled an "informational" meeting 7 p.m. Monday at the Pottawattomie Park field house, 7340 N. Rogers Ave., for residents who want to learn more about the plans from Gottlieb.
