ENGLEWOOD — Ald. Toni Foulkes (15th) is hosting her seventh annual summer bike tour through Englewood Saturday.

Registration for the free tour begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Bread of Life Missionary Baptist Church, 1924 W. 63rd St. The tour runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and bikes are not provided.

Those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and there will be rest areas along the route where riders will receive bottled water and a bathroom break.

Foulkes said the tour is for anyone who wants to see the 15th ward.

“This bike ride has become known as a summer highlight in the 15th ward, thanks to the interest of the community," she said. "This exciting day of summer fun also provides exercise for local residents, families and young people."

Foulkes said that this year's sponsors include the Active Transportation Alliance, Healthy Chicago Lawn, the 63rd Street Growth Commission and the Rio Valley Market.
