CHICAGO — A Chatham man has been charged with the October murder of a teenager in the city's Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
Andre Davis, 52, is facing one count of murder and one count of kidnapping, both felonies. He is due to appear in bond court Thursday afternoon.
Police said Davis was identified as the man who fatally shot and stabbed 19-year-old Jamal Harmon about 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 6, 2013.
Officers found Harmon hours later in an alley in the 7600 block of South Carpenter Street in Auburn Gresham. Harmon, of the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Davis was arrested Tuesday at his home in the 8200 block of South Eberhart Avenue in Chatham, police said.
