SOUTH LOOP — Dick's Sporting Goods will open at 9 a.m. Wednesday in The Maxwell, making it the newest business to open in the three-story mall at Roosevelt Road and Canal Street.
The sporting goods shop will celebrate with a grand opening event Friday through Sunday that includes early hours — an 8 a.m. opening on Friday and Saturday and a 9 a.m. start on Sunday — and gift cards and T-shirts for the first 100 people in line each morning.
From 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Chicago Bear Brandon Marshall will be at the store, meeting and greeting the first 300 visitors to get a wristband, starting at 9 a.m. Sunday.
Other stores coming to the 216,000-square-foot retail complex include Nordstrom Rack, Burlington, TJ Maxx, Pier One and Men's Wearhouse.
