UPTOWN — Next week's Vintage Garage Chicago flea market is all about vinyl, 8-tracks and other musical relics from the days before iPods and Spotify.

Vintage Garage Chicago and the Chicago Independent Radio Project are partnering to bring a special section to the flea market this Sunday — the Record Ramp.

Vintage Garage Founder Melissa Sands calls Record Ramp "a great way to introduce younger generations to the wonders of record collecting.”

“From big covers and printed lyrics to the warm sound — you just don’t get the whole package without a recording on vinyl," she said on the Vintage Garage website.

Vinyl aside, vendors will also sell 8-tracks, tapes, CDs and music memorabilia. CHIRP DJs are scheduled to spin vintage records at the flea market, 5051 N. Broadway, from when it opens at 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The event ends at 5 p.m. Admission is $5.

Here's the remaining Vintage Garage Chicago schedule and theme:

June 15: Record Ramp

July 20: Rockabilly and Tiki

Aug. 17: Re-found Art

Sept. 21: 1984

Oct. 19: Record Ramp
