Man Found in Lincoln Park Lagoon Identified

CHICAGO — Authorities have identified a man who died after being found in the Lincoln Park lagoon Monday.

John Hardy, 27, of the 2000 block of North Clark Street, was found about 2:11 p.m. Monday in the lagoon in the 2400 block of North Lake Shore Drive, according to Officer Stacey Cooper, a police spokeswoman.

The man was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in critical condition, fire officials said.

He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
