STREETERVILLE — Loop-based fast-casual Indian restaurant Bombay Wraps is opening a second location in Streeterville next month.

Bombay natives Falguni Dewjee and Nik Jain opened the first Bombay Wraps restaurant at 122 N. Wells St. in 2010, and launched a food truck soon after.

The Streeterville location, set to open at 330 E. Ohio St. in late May, will feature the same lunch and dinner menu: a mix of eight entrees available wrapped in paratha or roti flatbreads or on a bed of lettuce and chickpeas.

Dewjee, who runs the restaurants from Chicago with her New York-based partner Jain, of M1-5 Lounge, said Bombay Wraps' menu was designed to make traditional Indian dishes like cheese paneer, yogurt-based curries and chickpea chanas more approachable.

"Bombay Wraps takes the best of Indian cooking ... and serves them in familiar forms: wrapped in Indian flatbread or unwrapped in a salad bowl," Dewjee said.

In the summer, the restaurant plans to add a breakfast menu and begin serving Indian beer and wine. Before summer, patrons can BYOB.

Wraps are priced between $3.49 and $5.99, and bowls cost between $4.99 and $7.49. Like the Loop location, the Streeterville outpost will offer delivery and catering.
