CHICAGO — A man and a teen girl were hospitalized after being stabbed in a Portage Park apartment Monday morning, police said.

A 17-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man were in an apartment in the 3700 block of North Cicero Avenue when two men stabbed them, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman who cited preliminary information.

The girl had cuts on her face, and the 20-year-old man sustained wounds to his neck and hands, Estrada said.

The two managed to get away and called police from the McDonald's near Cicero Avenue and Addison Street, Estrada said.

They were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition, according to Chicago Fire Department Chief Joe Roccasalva.

Two suspects in the incident are in custody, Estrada said, and one of them was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

No one has been charged, and it was not immediately clear what led to the alleged attack.
