ROGERS PARK — This year, it pays to shop local.

The Rogers Park Business Alliance is offering up to $50 cash back on your holiday shopping haul, as long as you have the receipts to prove you bought the goods within the boundaries of three neighborhood Special Service Areas.

Shoppers who spend $100 at least three businesses can earn a $25 check from the business alliance. Shoppers who spend at least $150 can get $50 back.

The major business districts eligible for the holiday shopping perk include Howard Street, Sheridan Road and Morse Avenue. Exact boundaries are listed on the program's claim form.

The fine print: Minimum purchase of $20 per store (multiple visits accepted); maximum purchase of $30 in liquor; no groceries, prescription drugs or tobacco products allowed; one rebate per person; and receipts must be dated between Nov. 22 and Dec. 31.

The rebate forms  must be submitted with original receipts by Jan. 13 to the alliance at 1448 W. Morse Ave.
