SOUTH SHORE — A Metra train line was knocked off schedule Monday one hour after it struck a vehicle in South Shore, officials said.
Train #332 was delayed when it hit a vehicle near the intersection of 71st Street and Constance Avenue at about 5 p.m. due to a "grade crossing incident near Bryn Mawr," according to the company's website.
The train was scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 5:27 p.m. but was delayed past 6:15 p.m. At least one other train was also delayed due to the accident.
No injuries were reported, according to a Metra spokesman, citing preliminary information.
