CHICAGO — Green Line service will be suspended between Roosevelt and 35th Street the next two weekends as construction begins on the new Cermak station, according to the CTA.

Service will be suspended between 2 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday and again from 2 a.m. Nov. 16 to 4 am. Nov. 18.

A bus shuttle will connect the 35th Street andn Roosevelt stations during those times.

Green Line trains will operate normally between Harlem and Roosevelt. Another leg will operate between 35th Street and terminal stations at Ashland/63rd and East 63rd/Cottage Grove.

In August, the CTA broke ground on a $50-million station that will serve McCormick Place.

Construction is expected to be complete by the end of 2014.
