CHICAGO — A man died in West Lawn early Sunday when the car he was driving crashed into a pole.
The one-car accident occurred about 6 a.m. in the 6600 block of South Cicero Avenue, according to Officer Michael Sullivan, a police spokesman.
Rene Vasquez, 32, of the 2900 block of West 38th Place, was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital at 6:20 a.m. Sunday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Cops in the Major Accidents unit are investigating.
