RAVENSWOOD — Spirits will be converging on Ravenswood Friday night but fear not.

It's just gin.

The artisans behind ventures like Koval, Metropolitan and Few Spirits will be playing bartender, pouring samples of their products at Spirits of Ravenswood from 7-11 p.m.

The event, which benefits Ravenswood Community Services, will also feature small plates, music, a silent auction and open bar. Tickets are $75 and can be bought online. Attendance is limited to 200 people.

Ravenswood Community Services is a nonprofit agency that began in 1993 as an outreach program of All Saints Episcopal Church, with parishioners distributing groceries to the needy and serving hot meals.

The agency is now a partner of the Greater Chicago Food Depository, providing groceries to approximately 300 households a week and serving dinner to more than 100 people.

Spirits of Ravenswood will be held at the Ravenswood Event Center, 4011 N. Ravenswood Ave.
