Woman, 77, Missing From Irving Park

CHICAGO — Police are seeking a 77-year-old Irving Park woman who has been missing since Sunday morning.

Maria Luca, of the 3800 block of North Hamlin Avenue, speaks only Romanian and typically wears a babushka, a traditional Eastern Europena hat, according to police. The woman told her daughter she wanted to return to Romania before she went missing.

According to police, Luca is alert and knows where she lives, and may also be carrying a small red suitcase. She is described as about 5-foot-4, 170 pounds with brown eyes and gray hair.
