LINCOLN SQUARE — Such is the fast-evolving craft beer scene in Chicago that Half Acre is now the Establishment.

Untapped, a craft brew event sponsored by the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce, aims to shine a spotlight on some of the city's lesser-known micro producers and up-and-coming players — some so young they don't even have a permanent address.

Among the breweries set to participate in Untapped: Aleman, the brainchild of a group of homebrewing bartenders from Rockwell's Neighborhood Grill; Ale Syndicate, which is opening a brewery in Logan Square; Lincoln Park's Atlas; Begyle, currently expanding capacity at its Ravenswood brewery; and Kickstarter-funded Pipeworks, which prides itself on big beers made in small batches.

Tickets for Untapped can be bought online and cost $40, which includes the price of admission and six beers. The event is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Oct. 19 at DANK Haus, 4740 N. Western Ave.
