CHICAGO — A Riverdale man was charged in the August stabbing death of another man in Grand Boulevard, police said.
Timothy Barber, 40, of the 200 block of East 135th Place, was charged with second-degree murder, according to police.
Barber is accused of stabbing Lamont Larkins, 24, in the 4000 block of South Calumet Avenue on Aug. 30 about 12:40 a.m., authorities said.
A friend found Larkins, of the 4000 block of South Indiana Avenue, stabbed several times about 12:40 a.m. in an alley near 40th Street and Indiana Avenue, authorities said.
The friend drove Larkins to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died at 1:38 a.m., according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office
Barber was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
