CHICAGO — Two men have been charged with murder in the deaths of two Chicago women who were found strangled inside a burning car at a southwest suburban nature preserve.
Robert Danno, 50, and Jose Fernardo Martinez-Hernandez, 24, were each charged with two counts of first-degree murder, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said Monday night. Both are from Chicago, according to the Sheriff's Office.
They're accused of killing a mother and daughter, identified by the Sheriff's Office as Mary Ann Urban-Danno, Robert Danno's wife, and Theresa Urban, Robert Danno's mother-in-law.
It was unclear what the relationship was between Martinez-Hernandez and Danno or either of the victims.
