LINCOLN SQUARE — Beatlemania is alive and well in the form of the John Lennon educational tour bus, which is making a stop on Wednesday at the Old Town School of Folk Music.

The mobile recording studio is rolling into Lincoln Square as part of a day-long schedule of events that will culminate in the awarding of $20,000 to Jonas Friddle and the Majority, winners of the John Lennon songwriting contest's "Song of the Year."

Members of the band teach at Old Town, 4545 N. Lincoln Ave., and perform what they describe as "orchestral-folk" music.

As part of the celebration, Jonas Friddle will play their award-winning “Belle de Louisville” at 6 p.m.

Old Town's Teen Ensemble will also participate in a recording session on board the bus.
